We understand that travel plans can sometimes change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds and booking changes are handled by Saksha Journeys.

1. Cancellation Request

All cancellation requests must be communicated to Saksha Journeys through the official contact details provided by us. Cancellation will be considered from the date and time the request is received and acknowledged by our team.

2. Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges may vary depending on the tour, travel date, accommodation, transportation, ticketing arrangements and other non-refundable commitments made for the booking.

The applicable cancellation terms for a particular tour will be communicated at the time of booking wherever specific tour-level conditions apply.

3. General Cancellation Guidelines

Time of Cancellation Refund
More than 30 days before departure Refund after deduction of applicable cancellation and non-refundable charges
15–30 days before departure Partial refund after applicable deductions
7–14 days before departure Refund may be limited depending on committed travel and accommodation costs
Less than 7 days before departure Generally non-refundable, subject to the specific tour terms
No-show No refund

Important: The above table is a general guideline. Tour-specific cancellation terms may differ and will take precedence where they have been communicated as part of the booking.

4. Non-Refundable Expenses

Amounts already paid to third parties and not recoverable by Saksha Journeys, such as certain railway or transport tickets, hotel charges, entry tickets, permits, activity charges or other committed services, may be deducted from the refundable amount.

5. Refund Processing

Once a cancellation is approved, the eligible refund will normally be processed to the original payment method or through another mutually agreed method.

The time taken for the refund to reflect in the traveller’s account may depend on the payment gateway, bank or financial institution.

6. Cancellation by Saksha Journeys

In exceptional circumstances, Saksha Journeys may need to cancel, postpone or substantially modify a journey due to operational, weather, safety, transport, government or other unforeseen reasons.

In such circumstances, travellers will be informed about the available options, which may include rescheduling, credit towards another journey or refund of eligible amounts, subject to amounts recoverable from third-party service providers.

7. Changes to Bookings

Requests to change the traveller name, number of travellers, pickup location, travel date or other booking details are subject to availability and may involve additional charges.

Date-change or transfer requests should be made as early as possible before departure.

8. Transfer of Booking

If you are unable to travel and wish to transfer your booking to another person, please contact us in advance. Any transfer is subject to availability, ticketing rules and the applicable terms of the tour and service providers.

9. No-Show

If a traveller does not report at the designated pickup point or departure location at the scheduled time, the booking may be treated as a no-show and may not be eligible for a refund.

10. Special Circumstances

If cancellation is requested because of an emergency or other exceptional circumstance, please contact us as soon as possible. Any consideration will depend on the circumstances and the amounts already committed to third-party service providers.
